About Lisso

Who builds Lisso, why it exists, where the name comes from and how we work: a small Belgian company with direct contact.

Who builds Lisso

Lisso is built by Ulixes Consulting, a Belgian company, together with people who order from suppliers every day.

  • Tanguy Lesseliers, founder. He designs and builds the app, and he is the person you talk to.
  • Denis Reyniers, owner of shops. He brings the experience of the shop floor: the ordering round, the suppliers, the deliveries.

Why Lisso exists

Lisso was born in a real business that orders from many small suppliers. Every supplier had its own way of taking orders: one by email, one by WhatsApp, one on its own website. Each had its own order days and cut-off times. With many suppliers, it is easy to miss a cut-off, forget a product or not know whether an order was really sent. We built Lisso to make that ordering round simple, and we tested it in a pilot with two shops before offering it to other businesses.

Why the name Lisso

Lisso comes from lisse in French and liscio in Italian: smooth. That is what ordering should be: no friction between the shelf, the order and the supplier. The name is short, easy to say in Dutch, French, English and German, and it means the same thing in every language: things that run smoothly.

How we work

We are a small company. You have direct contact with the people who build Lisso, not with a call centre. When something is unclear or missing, you tell us, and we look at it together. We start with a small number of businesses, so we can set each of them up properly and listen to what they need.
